Lord Wandsworth College teams gear up for two national finals
Two sports teams from Lord Wandsworth College near Hook are preparing for the finals of two national competitions within days of each other.
The school’s talented Under 15 Rugby Team will face Northampton School for Boy sin the final of the U15 Continental Tyres Schools Cup next Tuesday (11th March). The match kicks off at 3pm at Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Club.
The U15’s earned their place in the final after a 10-0 victory against Wellington College in the semi-finals.
The side’s success in the National Cup coincides with a Hampshire Cup run, in which they are also finalists.
Two days after the Under 15 Boys take centre stage, it’s the turn of the Under 18 Girls Netball Team, who have reached the finals of the Sisters n Sport National Trophy, as part of their remarkable season together.
The latter stages of this competition will be played at Loughborough University next Thursday (13th March), starting at 10am.
This is the first time that Lord Wandsworth College has entered the SnS Competition. The college’s Under 15 Netball Team also reached the quarter-finals of the annual event. Both the rugby and netball coverage will be streamed live online and accessed via the Lord Wandsworth College social media feeds.
