King’s Worcester to Host Third Annual Careers Extravaganza
King’s Worcester has announced it will be holding its third annual Careers Extravaganza on 3rd and 4th March, to coincide with National Careers Week 2025.
This prestigious event is open to both King’s School pupils and those from the wider Worcestershire community, and has already garnered significant interest from local businesses.
The event, taking place in the School’s historic College Hall, will feature over 50 businesses and professionals from the worlds of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, (STEM), as well as from business and creative industries.
Hannah Sparrey, Head of Alumni and Business Development at King’s Worcester, said: '
This annual event is fast becoming a cornerstone of the region’s career development initiatives. We hope that by giving pupils access to a wide range of businesses, we can broaden their perspectives on a variety of career options and pathways.'
On Monday, 3rd March, the focus will be on careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), with a keynote speech from former King’s Worcester pupil, James Smalley, a Mechanical Engineer for Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains.
Careers in business and creative industries will take the spotlight on Tuesday, 4th March, including an address by former pupil, Cameron Walker, Royal Correspondent for GB News and a renowned Broadcast Journalist.
The event is open to all Worcestershire pupils and their parents or guardians from Year 6 and upwards. While tickets are free of charge, advance booking is essential to ensure a smooth experience and accommodate any dietary requirements.
