Performing Arts Students Hit New York!
Year 11, 12 & 13 students head to New York for shows, sights and culture.
The Performing Arts trip to New York was an incredible experience for our Year 11 and Sixth Form performing arts students. They 'painted the town, and all that jazz' at Chicago on Broadway and then experienced the fabulous Moulin Rouge in all it's colourful glory. They had a packed itinerary, fitting in all the main attractions from Central Park to Grand Central Station, Top of the Rock to Times Square. Whilst they also managed to find time for a little shopping, the students took a boat to Ellis Island studying the architecture and skyline before making a thoughtful trip to Ground Zero.
A highlight was eating at the Ellen Stardust diner, where the party was serenaded with classic show tunes while they ate some super sized meals! A huge thank you to Mr Bridgeman, Mrs Hepworth-Bond, Mrs Shropshire and Miss Scott, for organising such a super trip and giving the students an experience to remember.
