Horris Hill School Welcomes New Matron

Horris Hill is delighted to announce the appointment of Helen Woodward as the school’s new Resident Matron.

Joining the Horris Hill Boarding and Pastoral Care team with 23 years of experience, Helen previously served as a Day Matron at Epsom College. She is eager to join Horris Hill, where she can connect with younger minds and become part of the school’s close-knit community.

Originally from a Welsh farming background, Helen has a deep appreciation for nature and enjoys spending time outdoors. She also has a passion for sewing, crafting, and sustainability, with a focus on recycling and environmental issues. These interests align with the values of Horris Hill, and Helen looks forward to incorporating them into her role.

Helen is excited to meet the students and learn more about their journeys so far. She is committed to providing the support and care needed to help each child thrive in Horris Hill School’s family-oriented environment. The team is thrilled to have her on board as she works to support pupil well-being and contribute to the school’s nurturing atmosphere.
