125th Anniversary Celebrations

The New Beacon School in Sevenoaks launched its 125th anniversary celebrations in January 2025, marking a significant milestone in its proud history.
The first day of the Spring Term, Wednesday 8th January, saw the official launch of the festivities and a year which will feature a series of exciting events.

These celebrations will honour the school’s rich history while looking forward to the promising future of its pupils.

The first day of term saw the first official lighting of the Commemorative Beacon, designed to mark this special moment in the school’s history and generously gifted by the NBPA. This was followed by a stunning fireworks display in recognition of the school’s heritage and its bright future.

The boys came together to share in the first of a series of Assemblies about the history of the school and the Head Boy cut the anniversary cake ready for a slice to be enjoyed later that day! Each New Beacon pupil was gifted a commemorative pin to mark the occasion, designed with the symbol of the school’s iconic beacon marking its 125 year commitment to excellence in education.

'We are incredibly proud to begin our 125th anniversary celebrations and reflect on the school’s outstanding achievements over the years,' said Head of School, Sarah Brownsdon. 'This year will offer many opportunities to honour our past while continuing to inspire future generations of New Beacon pupils.'
