St George's Ascot L6 Pupil Grace Selected for U17 Ireland Netball Squad
St George’s is proud to announce that Grace, a Sport Scholar in the Lower Sixth, has been selected for the U17 Ireland Netball Short Squad.
This is a remarkable achievement, as Grace now joins an elite group of just 15 talented players.
Grace’s journey continued last week as she travelled to Belfast to attend an intensive training camp with the squad this weekend. During the camp, Grace had the exceptional opportunity to represent the Republic of Ireland in a training game against Northern Ireland, marking her debut on the international stage.
Following the training weekend, the U17 Ireland squad will be further refined to a final selection of 12 players, who will go on to compete in the European Championships in March. The School is immensely proud of Grace’s dedication and talent, and wishes her the very best as she continues her journey in the sport.
This accomplishment highlights not only Grace’s individual hard work and commitment but also the strength of St George's sporting program. St George’s looks forward to cheering her on as she pursues her goals at the highest levels of competition.
