The New Beacon School Celebrates Recognition in The Cricketer's Schools Guide 2025
We are thrilled to announce that The New Beacon School has been named among the top 50 prep schools for cricket in The Cricketer's Schools Guide 2025.
This prestigious guide recognises the UK's leading schools for cricket, highlighting their excellence in coaching, facilities, fixture programmes, and overall commitment to the sport.
The selection process was highly competitive, with hundreds of schools evaluated for their cricket programmes. Being featured in the guide is a proud moment for us, reflecting the passion we have for the sport and the dedication of our coaching team. It also
showcases the exceptional opportunities we provide for our pupils to develop both their skills and love for cricket.
We are particularly proud to extend our support to local cricket clubs, including Speldhurst, Cowdrey (Tonbridge), Shoreham, and Otford, as part of our commitment to fostering cricket in our community. Through these partnerships, we aim to contribute to the
growth of the sport and inspire future generations of cricketers.
Notable cricketers Zac Crawley and Sam Billings, both of whom attended The New Beacon, are shining examples of the cricketing talent nurtured here. Their successes in the professional game serve as an inspiration to our current pupils, showing what can be achieved
with dedication, passion, and the right support.
'Being included in The Cricketer's Schools Guide is a fantastic recognition of the hard work and enthusiasm of everyone involved in cricket at The New Beacon. Cricket is a cornerstone of our sports programme, and we’re committed to providing outstanding
opportunities for our pupils to thrive both on and off the field. Working closely with local clubs such as Speldhurst, Cowdrey, Shoreham, and Otford only strengthens this commitment, and we’re excited to see the next generation of talent develop,” said Mr
Herbert, Head of Sport at The New Beacon School.
We look forward to continuing our cricketing success and building on this achievement in 2025!'
