Lord Wandsworth College announces Will Dixon as new Chief Operating Officer
Lord Wandsworth College near Hook has announced that Will Dixon is to join as
Chief Operating Officer from April 2025.
Will is currently Bursar at Shiplake College and is going to build on the work of LWC’s current COO, Baz Bennett who is relocating.
Before joining Shiplake just under three years ago, Mr Dixon came to the education sector with a wealth of experience in both banking and the military.
He served in the British Army as an officer in the Rifles Regiment, where he saw active service in Afghanistan before losing his lower leg on operations and being medically discharged.
He went on to spend 11 years at Barclays, fulfilling a breadth of roles including Chief of Staff and latterly, Head of Coverage Operations and Enablement for Barclays Business Banking.
He has also served as Deputy National Chairman of Blesma, The Limbless Veterans Charity and in 2013 rowed the Atlantic, raising over £1 million for charity.
LWC Headmaster, Adam Williams said, “Will's remarkable personal journey, including his service in the Rifles Regiment and his dedication to charitable causes, speaks volumes about his determination and commitment to serving others. Furthermore, his proven leadership in managing growth and development projects aligns perfectly with LWC's own ambitious plans for the future.
