Celebrating 15 Years of King’s House Nursery!
King’s House Nursery in Richmond is delighted to be celebrating its 15-year
anniversary.
The Nursery first opened in January 2009 with a small class of pre-school children, and has since grown to a busy nursery with two classes and nearly 60 children.
On the last day before February half term all the Nursery children and staff enjoyed a tea party, with a wonderful cake very kindly made by a former parent. Year 8 pupils who started at King’s House in the Nursery joined them, and it was wonderful to seethe youngest and oldest pupils together.
Jane O’Brien, Head of Nursery, said: “It was such an exciting end to the first half of the Spring Term with our 15th birthday celebrations. The children had a tea party and were joined by the Year 8 boys who once attended the Nursery themselves. It was lovely to see our eldest and youngest children in school chatting and playing together, and the elder boys jumped on the piano and had an impromptu sing along with us all as well!”
Whilst the Nursery has grown over the years, every day is still full of laughter and learning as our children grow over their two years in Caterpillar and Butterfly Class. The Nursery wouldn’t be the same without the incredible staff team - some who have been here since that first day over 15 years ago!
We are looking forward to celebrating in the summer with our current families, former parents, alumni, colleagues and friends of King’s House.
