Hall School Wimbledon launches new Sixth Form in September 2023
Hall School Wimbledon (HSW), is very excited to be launching a new Sixth Form in September 2023. The Sixth Form will provide a unique, dynamic and highly personalised experience for young adults with small classes and tailored teaching for each individual.
HSW’s ethos is founded on an unshakeable commitment to the health and self-worth of every student. This holistic view of education, means that HSW value not only students’ academic endeavours, but also their creative and sporting talents, their personal aspirations and their individual character – and this is reflected across the school.
The years after Sixth Form bring many exciting opportunities, from university life, to apprenticeships, internships and the world of work. HSW believes it is essential that sixth formers are ready for whatever their next steps may be, so the school will provide them with the chance to develop life skills and enjoy life experiences, all within the safe perimeters of a nurturing school, and with the support of parents and carers.
HSW’s Sixth Form is non-selective and inclusive, but entry requirements into Year 12 will vary depending on an applicant’s subject / course choices, so that HSW can best ensure all students can cope and thrive, with the best possible chances of success. As part of the admissions process, students will be required to attend an interview with the Headmaster, provide a recent reference from their current school and supply a recent school report.
HSW’s Sixth Form will offer a range of qualifications including A Levels, BTEC and specialist work-related qualifications which combine practical learning with subject and theory content. HSW’s Tapestry, the school’s unique learning framework, helps teachers to adapt their teaching to the needs of the individual rather than the other way around and equips HSW students with a toolkit for their future lives. The tapestry comprises the following themes: Global, Mindset, Digital Literacy, Health and Wellbeing, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability.
HSW has a proven track record of empowering students to become well-rounded, confident individuals and the school looks forward to current students being able to continue their studies at HSW into the Sixth Form and to welcoming new families to join HSW at this exciting time.
