Pupils from over 60 different countries flock to Sevenoaks’ dedicated summer school each July, lured by the opportunity to spend two weeks living on the school’s spectacular 100-acre Kent campus and make use of a slew of world-class, award-winning facilities. Sevenoaks teachers lead courses in academic enrichment (which include modules in critical thinking, leadership, creativity and digital skills), music (honing in on performance, composition and musical history) and English language, equipping non-native speakers with a newfound linguistic confidence. Downtime is spent getting stuck into a host of exciting co-curricular activities, from art to athletics and survival skills to swimming, while weekends are filled with trips to cities including London and Oxford.
Need to spend the summer brushing up those revision skills? Their three-day mid-IB summer review courses are a good resource for students who have completed the first year of their IB diploma. Pre-IB maths revision courses are also on offer, aimed at current Year 11 students about to embark on IB higher or standard level maths.
