The first co-ed day and boarding school in the country alongside Bedales, Keswick opened its doors in 1898 in the heart of the Lake District. Needless to say, its surroundings are glorious, with lakes and mountains offering pupils a superlative outdoor education which includes sailing, rock climbing, canoeing and raft building. It’s a big school with some 1,360 pupils, but the boarding community is small, accommodating up to 53.
